It’s the perfect time for brands to show loyal consumers they care and entice impulse shoppers to become repeat buyers.

Everyone knows that the holidays can be stressful, so you might see brands use contest giveaways to add a little fun back into the shopping experience. Not only do contests help connect brands to consumers emotions, but on average, over 34% of new customers are acquired through contests alone.

Free gifts make everyone feel special and help retailers get in on the holiday spirit. Brands use gifts to create a sense of urgency amongst buyers and set their product apart from the countless options that surround consumers in-store.
You may see brands spreading more than just a little holiday cheer by offering instantly redeemable coupons or discount codes to their product packaging. It’s estimated that 60% of consumers are likely to try a new product as a result of a coupon, while 46% said they’d change their planned purchase.
