Sept. 8, 2022 – 48 years…Main St. Group has been around for 48 years! Can you believe it!? What started as an opportunity to supply folding cartons to the health & beauty industry, has taken off to become a full-service design and marketing powerhouse!

From Stephen Kings novels to the Harry Potter Series, we’ve always had a passion for finding a good story, so we can’t help but think of how lucky we are to have built a life where we can help brands tell theirs every single day.

So many things have happened in the past 48 years that have got Main St. Group to where it is today. Join us in a little trip down memory lane to celebrate some of those milestone moments!

The Main St. Milestones

1974 - September 3, 1974

The date that we landed our first order: PO#2320 from Shepherd Products for 10,000 folding cartons – printed, die cut, folded, glued, and delivered for $105.60/m on October 25, 1974.

1994 - New Facility

Our premises in Woodstock, Ontario was constructed. At this time, we diversified our packaging lines, shifting from packaging (folding cartons) as a contract manufacturer exclusive to boxes, to anything marketing – i.e., pressure sensitive labels – as our clients were wondering how we could help with more of their needs.

2004 - building expansion

We doubled our packaging capacity and our office space, which allowed us to service our clients better, handle larger projects, and turn things around quicker.

2009 - Became FSC Certified

All vendors must be FSC certified. A FSC certification ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social, and economic benefits.

2014 - Acquired Kevin Mitchell Team

The Kevin Mitchell Team brought three key components to Main St. Group: Their team, industry knowledge, and an eye for design. They were perfectly aligned with our goals and values as a company and helped Main St. Group break into the beer, wine, and spirit industry. Their creative team laid the early foundation for our design studio to become what it is today.

2020 - PPE Division Started

Main St. Shield was formed during early 2020. It began with supplying hand sanitizers and masks to frontline staff and essential workers. Since COVID, this division is focused on providing disposable gloves and developing a dealer network.

2022 - Launch of new innovations

With 48 years of industry experience, we know how critical it is for our clients to stay competitive in the retail market. From bringing the Tokinomo marketing robot to North America to making products rise with the Impulse Tower, our team is constantly looking for new and unique innovations to help our clients brands stand out in-store.

Over the past years we have grown and expanded but one thing has remained the same – we see ourselves as making you and your company shine, and that’s just the way we like it.
